This one’s super easy. Just pour some water to a plate, enough to flood it for like a quarter inch. Next is to sprinkle some biodegradable glitter, just enough to form a circle in the center as small as the opening of a glass.

 

Now, ask your kid to cover their point finger with dish soap (careful, they might put it in their mouth!). Then, let them slowly dip their finger on the center of the plate where the glitter is floating.

 

Watch their eyes grow big as they observe the glitter instantly move out towards the edge of the plate. They might want you to redo the set-up for a second time, and another after that. This experiment never fails to amuse the little kids.

 

Make sure to use biodegradable glitter so we don’t hurt mother nature after doing this experiment. Dispose the glitter properly, wash the plate thoroughly, and double-check that your kid has no glitter on them. After this clean-up, you can now proceed to the next fun experiment.
