How can I track my order?

You can track your order on our website through by clicking here. You may also use your provided tracking number (found on your shipping confirmation email) and go directly to UPS/USPS website to view the status of your order.

How do I return an item?

Please contact support@thestemkids.com or use the form above to initiate your refund. Once your refund is approved, you can ship the product to the following address:

You must provide the tracking number so that we can refund your order promptly. Failure to provide a tracking number or contacting support before initiating a return may result in having your refund denied.

 

My order is missing, what should I do?

No problem! We will get it fixed right away! Just contact us and we will send a replacement to you promptly. Please note that due to COVID-19, packages may not update for up to 2 weeks. Contact us if the package seems to be lost or stuck for longer than that timeframe.

What should I do if the LED is not working?

Make sure to remove the plastic insulate tab before use. If the light still does not turn on, lightly tap the microscope against a hard surface.

 

If the light still does not turn on, it means the battery is dead. Use a screwdriver to remove the bottom cap and replace the batteries (the batteries are LR-44 batteries).

 

If the LED still does not turn on, please contact us and we'll resolve your issue right away!

When will I receive my order?

We are based in Bluffdale, Utah. We are currently serving 4 different countries: United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. All orders placed in the United States will have their packages received in 3-7 business days. International orders may take 9-15 business days. We use UPS and USPS as our primary shipping couriers.

My Tracking ID Has Not Updated, Help!

Tracking ID has not updated for 2 weeks: please reach out to us on our support form for a replacement. We give a grace period of 2 weeks because usually un-updated Tracking IDs just means the shipping carrier forgot to scan the package. The package is still most likely moving and will be scanned in the next checkpoint.

 

Order Information Received/Awaiting Item: It means that your package has been sent to UPS's or USPS's warehouse. An update should post within 7 days. Please note that sometimes the carriers receive an item but forgo scanning it. This just means that the Tracking ID will not update within the expected time. Your package is STILL on the way.

Can all ages use this?

Yes, it is designed for all ages! Each microscope is specifically designed and tested to be shatterproof to make sure you and your children are safe. The glass components are sheltered with high quality ABS plastic to protect the eyes.

 

It is recommended that children are supervised during use.

Every microscope purchase includes a STEMKids portable microscope and a microscope slide.

Are microscope slides required to use this?

No! In fact, it is specifically designed to be used WITHOUT microscope slides (unlike any other microscope on the market today). Simply point in the area of interest and view!

 

If you wish to use microscope slides, then each portable microscope comes with a viewable adapter. We also sell pre-prepared microscope slides for those that want to view insects without the hassle or danger of collecting them!

Both kids and adults can operate the microscope with a bit of practice! We find that it takes no more than 5 minutes for people as young as four to learn!

We only offer one color at the moment. Our newest edition features the popular blue color, but if you have any color recommendations, please let us know!
